摘要 There is provided a method of delivering media content on a device. A request to stream media content is received at the device. At least a first portion of the requested media content is retrieved from a local media store of the device. The at least a first portion of the requested media content is delivered to a media player of the device for playback. In parallel to the delivery of the at least a first portion of the requested media content, at least a second portion of the requested media content is downloaded from a remote media store to the device.;There is also provided a method on a device of protecting media content from unauthorised playback. The method comprises receiving at the device a request to play media content, wherein the requested media content is encrypted. The method further comprises obtaining the encrypted media content. The method also comprises further encrypting the encrypted media content using a first encryption key so as to produce double-encrypted media content, wherein the first encryption key is specific to the device.
